Frequently Asked Questions

What session length should I choose?

  • 30-Minute Session: Best for focused work on one specific area, like the neck, shoulders, or lower back.

  • 60-Minute Session: Great for full-body maintenance or focused work on 1–2 trouble areas.

  • 90-Minute Session: Ideal if you want a full-body massage with extra time to work out deeper tension.

  • 120-Minute Session: Perfect for slow, detailed work across the whole body, or if you're dealing with multiple areas of chronic tension.

What techniques do you use during a session?

Every massage is customized. Techniques may include deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, cupping, PNF stretching, nerve flossing, and more — depending on what your body needs.

Can I request specific methods or techniques during my massage?

Yes! If there’s a particular method you’d like incorporated — such as deep tissue, cupping, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, PNF stretching, or any technique you’ve read about on my site — just let me know when you book or when you arrive. I’ll customize the session to fit your goals.

Can I request specific areas to be worked on?

Absolutely. When you book, you can let me know if there's a specific area you'd like extra attention on, or we can figure it out together when you arrive.

Where are you located?

I'm located in Murray, KY. Full location and booking info will be sent to you after scheduling through Vagaro.

Why Don’t You Offer Different Types of Massage Services?

Q: Why don’t you offer specific types of massage therapy (like deep tissue, Swedish, etc.) as separate services?

A: At David Collins, LMT, I don’t believe in offering “one-size-fits-all” sessions. Every client’s body is different, and every session is customized to meet your individual needs. Instead of offering pre-defined “types” of massage, I focus on integrating a combination of techniques — such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, stretching, and more — into a personalized treatment.

This approach ensures that you get the exact therapy your body needs in the moment, rather than being locked into a set “style.” Whether you need relaxation, pain relief, injury recovery, or stress relief, I tailor each session to your unique goals.

Q: Will I still get the benefits of deep tissue or other specific therapies if I don’t book those as separate services?

A: Absolutely! While I don’t break down services into categories like “deep tissue” or “Swedish,” I use all the techniques necessary during your session, based on your needs. For example, if you need deep tissue work for muscle tension, I’ll focus on that area and use the appropriate techniques — no need to book a specific “deep tissue” service. You’re always getting the right treatment for your body, whether it’s a lighter touch or deeper pressure.

Q: What’s the benefit of this flexible approach?

A: By customizing every session, I’m able to focus on what matters most — your body’s current needs. This method allows me to integrate various techniques into a cohesive treatment plan rather than limiting the session to just one method. It gives us the flexibility to address multiple issues in a single visit, whether it’s muscle tension, stress relief, or injury recovery.

Q: Do you offer the same level of care as specialized massage services?

A: Yes! While I don’t offer pre-defined styles, I bring the same level of expertise and technique as any specialized service. Whether you’re getting trigger point therapy, myofascial release, or any other method, you’ll experience professional, focused care that’s tailored to your needs. I’m trained to integrate the best of all these techniques for optimal results.
